Round Island is a quaint little islet, expectedly round in shape, situated just 4 km from Mahé.  A leisurely stroll around the island would take around 15 - 20 minutes, much of which would be within lush green vegetation.  Although small in size, Round has a lot to offer, including stunning beaches, beautiful coves and fantastic underwater scenery.  Round Island's Enchanted Seychelles resort is currently under development and is expected to be open to guests by the middle of 2011.  It will consist of 10 private chalets, which will be dotted sporadically around the island, each with its own private access to the beach.  The island is particularly renowned for its wealth of marine life.  Starfish and shellfish are found in abundance around the sandy beaches, while the coral reefs provide a whole host of beautiful tropical fish species.
