Sea Cloud Luxury Tallship Cruises
Costa Rica
€2,485
New to our range of Small Ship Expedition Cruises are maritime adventures onboard the historical Sea Cloud fleet of luxury tall ships. Voyages span the Mediterranean, North Africa, Caribbean, Central America & trans-Atlantic, onboard three sister sailing vessels which blend traditional sailing charm with modern luxury.
While these magnificent vessels provide excellent cabin comfort and the outdoor areas of a private yacht (not to mention a glorious restaurant), their towering sails, which are still traditionally rigged by hand, give it a grandiose personality and a sense of adventure; with opportunities if you wish, to step off to explore unique locations such as the Parthenon, the Kasbah of Rabat or Pearl Islands of Panama.
For a complete of voyages available in 2024 and 2025, visit HERE and head to 'Dates and Prices', but here are some of the many voyages you could experience:
In the heart of summertime, the three Sea Cloud sister ships explore the Mediterranean Sea. A selection of voyages include the elegant of Southern France, Adriatic coastlines, encircling the scintillating island of Sicily, islands of Grecian Aegean Sea, and eventually stretching up to Istanbul.
Eastern Atlantic adventures involve sailing to and from the Azores and exploring the volcanic islands decorated by crater lakes and flower meadows.
Some voyages also reach Madeira: the green oasis in the Atlantic where we find the mysterious Levadas in the Mountains of the Laurel Forest and picturesque old town alleys in Madeira’s Capital, Funchal.
During the later stages of the calendar year, the Sea Cloud vessels explore the Caribbean islands of the Lesser Antilles. These islands stretch from Puerto Rico – known for its colonial architecture - to the white sand beaches of Grenada, with many a sun-soaked island in between.
Areas off the coast of North Africa are another Sea Cloud favourite, including Tangier and Casablanca of Morocco – cities known for artistic Arabic Architecture. Some voyages include the volcanic Canary Islands whose coastal waters sometimes provide encounters with dolphins and whales.
In February, Sea Cloud sails along the coast of Central America.
Panama and Costa Rica major on Tropical nature, whilst Belize and Mexico inject the addition of magical Mayan sites. The Bahamas adds a smattering of low-lying white-sand tropical islands.
As well as sight seeing and hopping from island to island, in late November time, you might choose the unforgettable, 17-night experience of travelling Transatlantic.
