After a short drive out of Longyearbyen, you will hike to the summit of Blomsterdalshøgda. This overlooks Adventfjorden and stands at 321m above sea level. In summer the summit slopes are covered with many of Svalbard’s plants and flowers, and at the top, weather permitting, offers fantastic views of Longyearbyen. After descending from the summit, you will pass the Global Seed Vault. Carved deep into the permafrost, the Vault preserves an incredible array of the world’s plant species.

The ascent and descent are at a reasonable gradient. The tour may be changed due to weather conditions. All participants are requested to dress warmly, wear hiking boots and a hat and mittens.
