Ocean Explorer is a modern purpose-built polar expedition vessel. This elegant 138 passenger ship has been designed with the latest in expedition ship technology. One notable feature is the ULSTEIN X-BOW®, a marine engineering innovation that ensures a comfortable and smooth sailing experience thanks to the inverted bow. On the bow you can also find a rather spectacular two-story library, boasting light, space and wonderful opportunities to survey the surrounding landscapes.

The interior design of the ship was carefully considered by designers, from the vast windows of the library to the grand fixtures and furnishings throughout the ship. All cabins are of bespoke Scandinavian design, most of which boast a veranda.

There are ample outdoor viewing area and multi-height outer decks, ideal for photography and wildlife viewing. A fleet of 15 Zodiacs helps to facilitate ship to shore excursions and cruising.

The main dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows, stylish lighting and contemporary art. Meanwhile there is a further private dining room for up to 36 guests providing a relaxed and intimate dining experience. The Latitude Bar is the ideal place to relax, socialise with other passengers and enjoy a drink. There is a further bar in the observation lounge on Deck 8, boasting incredible views.

Sea days and free time can be spent in the spacious gym, sauna with large windows or two outdoor Jacuzzis.

Ocean Explorer boasts an industry-leading mix of sustainability systems, including fuel-efficient Rolls Royse engines. It also benefits from the ground-breaking MAGS gasification system that converts waste into energy, eliminating the environmental impact of waste transportation.
