M/V Spirit of Enderby is one of just two remaining 50 passenger Russian Research ships and is the sole explorer of Wrangle Island, as well as offering unique insights to Kamchatka, New Guinea and Ross Sea from New Zealand. In Aqua-Firma’s pioneering days of polar travel, these small ships were the norm: compact, strong and friendly, providing a true expedition experience.
The focus of all voyages aboard Spirit of Enderby is to make as many onshore landings as possible. Experienced naturalists and on board guides will share their knowledge and ignite your passion for the Polar Regions through informative lectures and escorted landings.

"On a Spirit Of Enderby voyage full of highlights (Wrangle), standouts included an incredible total of 101 polar bears; dozens of feeding Gray, Humpback and Bowhead whales; a richly flowering tundra inhabited by Lemmings, Arctic ground squirrels, Snowy owls, Skua, Snow geese, Arctic fox and Musk oxen, as well as towering cliffs packed with thousands and thousands of breeding seabirds. What a privileged experience, in a region so remote we had seen no other shipping or other visitors for almost two weeks." Neil Nightingale
Client review:
"We had a great trip, got to many places, and the Expedition Leader, was quite outstanding- arranged the very, very most possible for us. The group melded together well !"
